December 2025 : Awards Eligibility

It's my first awards season! Kind of... technically I had one eligible flash fiction story in 2025, but it published in December, and I didn't know what I know now, so I missed doing all of these fun posts and bits of outreach! What really struck me when I revisited these stories, was how they are grappling with the same idea of control—and how much we really have—in opposite ways. It's something I struggle with (obviously, haha) and I love that fiction and poetry can help me explore my own power fantasies and how they might (or might not!) work out.So, here we goooo:

Short Story: Nebulas, Hugos

💙 The Slowly Freezing Heart of Florence Centauri, featured in If There's Anyone Left, May 2025💙"Life-long memories await you under the red sun of Club Med: Proxima Centauri. After your restful slumber in a luxury cryogenic sleep lounge aboard our signature space vessel, you will arrive refreshed and ready to take on the magnificent slopes of Proxima Centauri. A fully automated staff is ready to serve you around the clock. Their impeccable service is unrivaled in the universe…"

Speculative Poem: Nebulas, Hugos

🐋 Whale Fall, featured in Small Wonders, January 2025🐋"Control is an illusion—a gift we can have for a time—but it is never ours to keep."

Best Fancast: Hugos
